'False and malicious' hoax house fire call wastes Shrewsbury firefighters' time on busy evening full of serious incidents

**SCAM ALERT** A heads up from your friendly neighborhood KPD ref a malicious phone call received at a local church. The recorded call claimed to be DP&L and threatened to turn off the power if they did not pay the bill within 30 minutes. The voice then said to call 800-401-8284. This is NOT a number of DP&L. Remember that no matter how official or how threatening a caller becomes you should NEVER give personal/financial info over the phone. Especially bank account or credit/debit card numbers.
